Walking alongside our Rangatahi
Our Kaupapa (Purpose): Igniting Rangatahi, Strengthening Aiga
We are a community hub dedicated to fostering growth, leadership, and self-determination for our youth (Rangatahi) and their families (Aiga / Whānau). We believe that when youth are ignited, the whole community thrives.
Rangatahi
Our Youth Programs are built around one core idea: young people should have the power to shape their own path. These initiatives are deeply youth-led and youth-driven, ensuring our Rangatahi are at the heart of everything we do.
We activate their ideas through our process:
- Mauri Moe (Ideas)
- Mauri Oho (Ideas to Hui/gathering)
- Mauri Ora (Hui to Dui/action)
We collaborate with partners to ensure a holistic approach, establishing a network of support where every young person feels seen, heard, and valued. As the Aunty of the Hub (Youth and Family Co-ordinator), I offer Awhi—support, care, and accountability—in a space that is accessible and built just for them. This is their initiative, their community, and their future. We’re just here to walk alongside them on their journey.
Aiga & Whānau
While our core focus is youth ignition, we recognize that collective growth and wellbeing start with the whole family. We are committed to supporting Aiga and Whānau as they seek a space to share their skills and knowledge.
In a true village, everyone has something to offer. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” but we also believe it takes a child to awhi (support/care for) the community.
Through our programs, we focus on igniting mana and helping families journey toward Tino Rangatiratanga—self-determination and authority. By fostering a sense of pride and ownership, we ensure that families can actively shape their own futures and contribute to the collective strength of the community.
Together, we create spaces where both youth and families are ignited, heard, and equipped to lead with confidence.
