Massey Matters Incorporated is a society dedicated to strengthening community activity and networks and promoting a sense of local identity and pride within the Massey area of West Auckland. Our work aims to provide a local framework to create change, find solutions, and achieve aspirations for our community. We also focus on promoting and advancing education and learning through community development programs.

By becoming a member, you can support our charitable objectives and join a wide range of individuals whose aims are broadly compatible with ours.

There are no membership fees for Massey Matters Incorporated.

The process for becoming a member is straightforward:

  1. Complete the Application: Applicant groups or individuals may apply at any time by completing an application form. (You can fill in your details on the form below!)
  2. Consent: Every applicant must consent in writing to becoming a Member
  3. Executive Committee Review: The Executive Committee will consider your application.
  4. Decision Notification: The Executive Committee will advise you of its decision (they are not required to provide reasons for their decision).

Once admitted, you become a Member of the Society.

Important Membership Information

  • Executive Committee Power: The Executive Committee has the power to accept or decline any application for membership
  • Ceasing Membership: A member will stop being a member if they resign in writing to the Secretary/Manager, if they no longer exist (or die), or if they are expelled by a majority of the Executive Committee for acting in a way harmful to the Society
  • No Property Rights: Your membership does not confer any right, title, or interest in the property of the Society.
  • Focus of Benefits: Any income, benefit, or advantage to members will be applied to the charitable purpose of the Society
